You could certainly talk to a cabinet maker and have something custom made to your preferences and design style. You could also talk to a closet design specialist who might be able to utilize every square inch of that space more effectively while working with a cabinet maker. Part of how the space is designed will depend on the age of your girls. If they are under 12 or so it shouldn't be too difficult. If they are teenagers, talk to them and find out what kind of space they need.

Plywood is MUCH lighter than MDF so it’s a good choice for LARGE cabinets. I usually choose a cabinet grade plywood like Birch which has a nice, hard, smooth veneer on both sides. Birch Plywood is esssspensive! so if u wanna stick to ply only then Sanded Ply is the option.

Hi Anurag, Black counter top is very common and you can go for ample combinations like light and dark grey, yellow , red, green ...and their combinations will look great. So no need to worry..go for any colorful combinations. Regards, Sujoy

Grey is trending big time now. And don't worry about it being too dark. You can offset that with a white counter top, white dado and steel accessories and of course interesting lights
