Hi senba, Great suggestions above! Yes, use the wallpaper background... but keep it really,really light blue. It will keep the room homogenous and will retain the softness of your paper. I'm not against colorful homes. There's bright, and then there's too bright. I wouldn't go with persimmon for the whole house. The photo you provided has lots of white trim which offsets the orange, but your house doesn't have that much trim (unless you were planning on adding some, which I think would look good no matter what color you ultimately choose, but even so, I wouldn't go with persimmon for the whole house, as it's still too bright). To repeat what @nwduck said, the other homes in the neighborhood don't appear to all be done in the bright colors, and so yours would stand out too too much. I like @deco's idea of the bright door, if you really love a bright color. For the rest of the house, any more subdued color would be fine, along with additional trim around the windows, and assuming that your siding color coordinates with your roofing color.

We are designing our apartment in the tropics that has a contemporary "safari" look with dark brown teak furniture and a beautiful open balcony loaded with tropical plants.. We have a cream marble floor provided by the landlord... And have selected a beige "stone finish" ceramic tile for the bedrooms... And an Oak dark wood floor for the master bedroom. What would be the best selection of wall paints you can recommend? We were contemplating a shade of grey as egg white and ivory are rather common here. Any thoughts...? Thanks!

Unless you have a very beautiful garage door I would paint it a color that blends with the brick IMO they are all too much in your face as is I loved it when the garage was at the back of the house not front and center
