The floor is engineered wood. I don't know the color and manufacturer because it was chosen by the interior designer. It is a veneer over a stable base of plywood for backing. We use this type of flooring a lot because it is cost effective, stable and you can select a factory finish and color that will be very close to what shows up ready to install. Depending on the finish, wood species and color it can be quite durable. The argument that veneer is not good has been debunked in my experience. The solid wood we used would expand, contract and even warp. Engineerd wood doesn't do that.
