If you can't clean up the painted edge, you could always add a 1x3 piece of wood as molding. You can even carry it up to the ceiling to frame that wallpaper. I don't see that paint color in the wallpaper, or maybe it's a lighter version of the flower centers. Maybe stencil on a design using the darker color, or another color from the wallpaper to help tie it together. Then narrow floating shelves or vertical frames or something in the painted areas it you feel you need it. Maybe turn the bed around so the wallpaper is the headboard.

I think you should stay with a simple pattern for draperies. Possibly a pattern incorporating the white trim and warm yellow walls. This would be soft and understated and something that you wouldn't get tired of easily. Other colors could be introduced with accessories.

the pictures you see online of glass walls and roofs are those not from India. and the usually have a large property and the home itself is secluded enough to provide privacy. for heat, they have a centrally controlled HVAC system that is on 24x7 to regulate heat and cold, plus the glass is often reflective and double, to provide a modicum of insulation. since you're a resident of Hyderabad, it would be more advisable to have just a skylight or just large french doors and not got for the entire combination. hope this helps
