This is a good combination for your house.

Your setting is good but could be better.the centre table is a misfit.you can use 2 level rectangular table either white poly paint one level and the other level glass or black paint or poly paint.keep the length of the table after leaving approx 16 to 18"on either side.the width can be20-22 " and ht 16".the cushions can be change to black and white design,with a dash of red.a nice rug with grey,black and white geometric design will enhance the effect.brown does not go well with white.i hope this should solve your problem.once you make this change.you eye will pick up the other flaws.

Great question.Choosing the perfect curtain and blinds for your house will totally depend on the room and your personal liking.I think you should get vertical and roller blinds.Light curtains for safety, privacy may be the better choice.Curtains should be hanging on each side of the opening,letting the light in - for the showings.Also important - to make your windows clean and sparkling.I would like to recommend blinds over curtains.Blinds were always favoured over curtains from the start-anything to keep a fresh appearance.I hope that's helpful!Keep sharing.

I feel partitions are not needed. You already have too much for the space. Adding a partition will shrink the space further. The simplistic solution, you do not wish to discard any furniture would be to paint all the walls in lighter pastles. And use some wall painting frames to highlight certain walls.
