softyjain, If the windows need to be replaced I recommend looking at fixed steel to maintain the narrow profile of the windows and small window lites. Using fixed instead of operating will be a cost savings if you don't need to open them. Another option for hanging from the ceiling is a decorative light or chandelier. I agree the creamy color needs to be changed. I would do a dark grayish/brown. Maybe you can use that same dark color on other areas too. A color close to the brown in the groves, as long as it is not too chocolate brown. Here are some ideas

I think i'd use subtle blues and/or greens against that brick, which i would use a sealer on to bring up the color a bit. White would be rather boring on the windows i feel, i'd use a darkish muted red or charcoal maybe for this detail. Such a pity to adopt boring western color codes when you have such a fabulous tradition for color in India. You don't have to go crazy on flashy color and can adapt it to a more modern feel. Very cute little house, i love it's details.

your staircase block is nice. use natural store cladding, if cost permits, else some nice stone designed tiles should also do the trick. as per the tile/stone, you can either go with the similar family for the rest of the wall painting. ensure the moldings/projections are painted in lighter tone than the walls, so that they do subtly stand out.
