The wood has to reach what's called Equilibrium Moisture Content (EMC), which is different for various areas of the country/world. I don't know about end grain slabs, which is what you have, but the rule of thumb for lumber air drying (vs. kiln drying) is 1 year for each inch of thickness. Moisture leaves the end grain faster than the side and/or edge of the boards, so in your case the drying time will probably be shorter. If it is not dried in a controlled environment your slabs are going to split radially, due to drying too fast.

Ok. in that case please let the area dry in summer. It is very important. Remove the area mould completely with power washer and bleach. Do it for 2-3 times. Do cover the area with " Damp proof " smart care solution and then use "Ultima Protek paint" . The products mentioned above are from Asian paints . Due to this it is widely used in factories. 3] Aluminium trims come in a variety of finishes. Anodized aluminium trims come essentially in metallic colours like silver, bronze, copper, gold. Powder coated aluminium trims come in a variety of colours and don't give the metallic look but offer adequate resistance to water damage.
