Design Dilemma Bedroom

small bedroom storage ideas

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and this is my first query.
I am getting my new apartment which is a compact 3 bhk. My bedroom is 11ft X 10ft and a small niche of 5ft X2ft for a wardrobe how can i make a good storage option out of this space considering i will be needing a bed of atleast 5ft X6.5 ft

Hi Sujit,

If you are looking for additional storage options than your wardrobe you can have a wall fitted one opposite the bed towards the window side. Also, the wardrobe with the side table could be combined to form an L giving additional storage space.

Hi Sujit,

With this layout you can go for a sliding wardrobe which can be easier to access with a given space. Also you can put a mirror on the wall between wardrobe and side table this will give your bedroom a more spacious look. Also on TV wall you can have a full length TV storage which can be a 12" deep to keep other stuff.

I'd suggest you have a look through the photos section on Houzz - or there's quite a few good articles on how to decorate :) maybe both you & your wife could save pictures to an ideabook with a few words on what it is you like about each one, and it'll give you more of an idea of what type of things you like? I think colour-wise, turquoise and peach can go together really well - maybe a warm cream colour on the walls & pops of turquoise and peach in the form of throw cushions etc.? Again, just searching on Houzz can give you some great ideas - just literally searching 'turquoise and peach' brings up quite a lot of pictures :) to get you started I've just picked out a few which I personally think work well :)

Hi Palak, -first thing you can do to is use white color as much as possible along with some pastel and neutral color. -second utilize the space efficiently by creating multi functional furniture. Vertical surfaces, walls are very good way to provide additional storage for the same when you have less floor area. Sharing few images below- more white with balanced color palette, don't use dark colors. Workstation/study merges with wardrobe, full height storage units, lots of shelves on tv wall provide ample space for storage and display.
