Hey Sudha ji , I'v a few ideas on the placement , a bed takes 9'x6'3'' so place it on the 15' Wall(you can reduce the width by removing side drawers,then you get 3' extra for bigger wardrobes on both sides) with one wardrobe on each side one for him and one for yourself and a chest of Drawers to keep other stuff handy and two Ottomans or love seat in front of the bed so you have enough space in front of the bed for traffic as well,and on the front wall to the bed place your Wall hung T.V, PLEASE keep the colours light , use white marsh by Asian Paints or Honey dew , here are some pics .

:) either go with the light steel blue or light gray on the walls, then repeat it in simple bedding and maybe a more fun rug..or if you go with the blue in the bed, a tan on the walls can work and tie in with a rug, maybe some black or brown in the rug and then it can be brought in the accents... Do you like the stripes in the picture of your bed? Why not paint horizontal lines in beige and white and introduce that as the next colour and feature? It would tie the reds and brown and white together. You challenge will be to purchase bedding OR a rug with colours that tie in. A rug should be quite large to break the dark flooring. So almost up to your cupboards

I would go with something bold and bright. if it going to be laminate, make it fun like turquoise, or magenta or apple green. Then your gorgeous bed will be the star of the show. add a couple of items in the bedding that take that color and keep the rest of the bedding white.
