Victorian house layout help!

Renovating an old Victorian house. Doing a side return extension to make the kitchen bigger and planning to remove the wall next to the stairs/dining to open up the space. Need a downstairs toilet (probably under stairs). Any ideas on layout would be a great help :) see photo below

Hi Simi. There is a lot you can do with this space - how far are you wanting/able to extend the kitchen? Under the starts would be the best position for the toilet aesthetically, however be aware that you will need a soil pipe and water connections etc to the WC, so budget and time may dictate this.

Please help me remodel the existing house plan. The details are - 1. Bedroom 1 aka Master bedroom (existing) 2. Bedroom 2 3. Bedroom 3 (this room has a balcony) 4. Living room (this room has a balcony) 5. Open area cum Dining room 6. Kitchen a and d are Bathrooms b. Washing machine area c. Lavatory Problem areas that need to be fixed - Entryway into the house is very dark during the day due to lack of natural lighting. Want to open up the kitchen area as it is very congested. Want to incorporate a walk - in closet and convert a bedroom into an Ensuite Need space for a study cum office area. I am ok with demolishing the walls and have 1 bathroom instead of 2, but do not want to compromise on the 3 Bedrooms. Switching the rooms is also possible. Thank you all.

Greetings of the Ramsha! Some of the points to consider in the attached floor plan are as follows: The master bedroom in the front is devoid of any storage. Addition of wardrobes will cut into the size of the bedroom, leaving you with a minimal sized one. The position of the common toilet is inconvenient as it is located quite far from the common areas. You might consider a powder room and connect the present common toilet with the adjoining bedroom, which will present an opportunity to rework the furniture layout as well. The size of the kitchen can be reduced to some extent, giving some precious square footage for the living area. The present living area( drawing dining) seems very tight. Consider the location of the staircase. Rotating it to be vertical will free up some valuable space. In case of any queries, please feel free to contact us.
