Ideally a 17*17 kitchen area shouldn't feel cramped. Is it already built or you consider this awkward based on the floor plan

Hi Nitin, it is not built just floor plan for now. I feel the counter top space and cabinet space would be too less. What do you think about the floor plan?

Considering that we have a walk-in pantry it doesn't feel like that the cabinet space may be a concern here.

However , yes the counter top space may be on a lesser size. The answer may vary based on family requirements and other specifics.

For an informed opinion, we need to understand the brief and complete look on the current floor plan.

Thank you! That's definately changing my outlook. This is our entire floor plan. I'm thinking of ways that I can increase counter space in the kitchen.

There are a few things which we can suggest.

There are 3 different doors in the pantry which is a bit too much and will kill a lot of usable space.

If you are ok with having a common utility area and pantry a lot of space planning can be bettered. That will also give you flexibility to get additional space in the kitchen.

Preeti, it may be an unwanted suggestion but your kitchen sink may be directly visible for guests in the dining space. 

Secondly the guests in the living will literally have a maze to solve for using the powder room/restroom.

Do consider this advice.
