( i mean how much length in feet inches should be left on the two sides). you can look at the neighbouring duplex or bunglow to get the exact understanding of the margins. other things can be designed accordingly. i have a rough thought about the design... attached herewith....

Never have TV opposite a window since glare can disrupt viewing quality. Dining can be tucked at the corner where dining area is mentioned with a nice concole unit which can have crockery storage etc. and top of the console can have accessories and a painting flanked with bracket lights. avoid hydraulic table since it looks ugly and boxy on the wall. Get a chic and elegant rectangular table with a chandelier or hanging lights. Sofa can be 6' approx. Get a single 6' long sofa with a day bed adjacent to it so that you can move as you want. get a nice sleek center table with a rug in the center.
