The plot location is the front rows of the society. It can be used as commercial for ground and first floor ( I don't want to use it for commercial although). Its a north Facing plot. to correct the exact plot size its 30 *45 not 30 *40 as earlier said. So its 1350 sq ft. Specifications: Ground floor with 2 parking, Garden, utility, 1 hall, 1 kitchen, 1 small bed room, 1 pooja room, 1 bath room and 1 store room. A rug with a horizontal pattern could help along with a false ceiling above in which you can install a line of recessed lights. The tiles and border on the walls suggest that this is a passage in a shared washroom space like a health club. It looks a bit cold for that reason. So hang a lot of warm framed prints to make this space more inviting.

Nadia, You need to provide some more snaps showing the entire room, including the location of the beam, its height & clear height of the slab etc. One idea could be to extend the width of the beam by just about 25 mm with gypsum board on either sides, at the bottom level, with a right angular vertical of 25 mm as well & provide LED lighting strip for indirect lighting...
