A white marble entry would be MUCH more appealing/high end/classic. You have plenty of gold everywhere else so the entrance "gold" is far too much. The carpet is impressive but not with the gold entranceway. Gold is a colour that must be used in moderation. Too much and you run the risk of having your house look like something out of "goldfinger" (not in a good way).

Romney, First thing is that requirement of light is measured in lumens. Secondly , you will have to look at the room requirements , colors on the wall, furniture, flooring etc. Even the temperature (i.e. warm or cool) of the lights is very important.
