Kitchen is small
Comments (4)if this is your furniture, remove the leaf and make the table round. place a grouping including large plant/screen at the corner by the fridge to improve the feng shui and 'cozy' the living area. options: move the fridge to the outside wall next to the sink, leaving the window clear and fill the space with cabinet/storage. add additional cabinets to wall where fridge was....See MoreEntry into Dining Area - Privacy considerations.
Comments (9)This is on 2nd floor. I've seen people reclaim their entry way, but to be sure I'll need to check with the builder on if its mine to rebuild. If not allowed, then shelf from 3rd picture will be the next best thing! Pocket door sure is an interesting idea, but the builder has already installed 3 ft wide door. I'll check on the cost involved then take a call....See More"Small kitchen design "
Comments (12)This reminds me of my kitchen in Hyderbad, India. As others said, go with open shelves. Both wood (contrast) and stainless (brightness) would work well for upper shelves. I would also do shelves in the lower cabinets. If you want to minimize cleaning, add heavy, easily washable curtains to the lower shelves. You can add some battery operated lighting so you can see into those darker spaces. As for the walls, I would use a white subway tile and go as high on the wall as you can afford. The glaze will reflect more light and the surface will be relatively able to keep clean. Paint the other walls in a high-quality white paint (use a ceramic one if you can find it, as they are a lot more durable). Keep the appliances to a minimum. Kitchen gadgets might be handy, but lost of them will make the space seem small. For the ones you do buy, go with white or stainless steel. Finally, hang pots, pans and utensils on the walls to free shelf space and get them off the counter. Make sure what you use frequently is within easy reach, while "occasional" tools can be higher up, where you might need a stool to reach them....See MoreSmall living room, bright day light. Comments (8)Thanks all, for the suggestion. Yes will stick to white for all other sides of the room. one is full glass with curtains, the other is behind the sofa, a plain wall as of now with no art or anything, this is just opposite to the brick wall. The 4th side is the foyer and a small wall with a artsy clock. The living area is more an open plan, that leads to dining on one side. I am looking for wall art ideas too. I create my own art for the home, I have not gone commercial, just do some art for friends too when they ask as gifts :-). We are changing all the furniture in this room, including the softa. have ordered recliners in light brown color, A square center table with stools underneath, and a side small curio/book shelf. Thanks once again....See Moredecoenthusiaste
