A soft, warm grey shade would look lovely, and can be as dark or light as you want. A warmer shade will work with the brown stained wood floor, and the grey will complement the black granite. You could have an undertone of green, blue or tan if you didn't want a pure grey. And it would look nice with any silver metal hardware, either polished or satin/brushed, so you could choose pewter, chrome or nickel. It would still work with white trim too.

I would leave it as it is since any items you place up there needs to be maintained and that is one more task we would be adding to the lady of the houzz. but if you are still wanting to add something for that first client impression may be few large glass pickle jars or just two of three colourful glass sculptures. as would perhaps know - less is more in modern design.

Hi Hallsandra, I am going to guess the colour of the floor black and suggest: - if you are thinking white I suggest cream or off-white will be really good. -you can also go with ore than one colour eg. floor level cabinets teal or jade and upper cabinets orange or floor level cabinets light grey and upper cabinets white or off white, -another choice is to go yellow -how about nude pink? Grey is trending big time now. And don't worry about it being too dark. You can offset that with a white counter top, white dado and steel accessories and of course interesting lights
