I am guessing you don't wish to finish the exterior with a plaster. So the next best option according to me would be to extrude the column outwards by about 1 feet with a fabricated structure cladded with ACP, Cement sheet, composite exterior panels, or any other surface/material of your choice. Hi, You could do a panelling/wainscoat flush with the column edge. If the bed is against this wall.. the headboard can be done so as to hide column.
