Building a Home Design Dilemma

how to plan interior?

hi we have given a floor plan that we we bought. we r joining adjacent 2bhks. right now 3rd floor slab is done ours is 4th floor. so when should we talk to our builder and how to go about it. we never bought any house so how to go about it. like should we draw our vision and tell them or just tell them all the details

Pournima,

You are at an ideal time to start your interior planning and designing. If you have a plan in place now you can get the builder to lay the electric lines, tiles , flooring etc according to your desingers selection and plan. It saves a lot of rework.

Share the plan with your designer and discuss with them further on the changes.

Hello Mr Ranga Nathan Maintain a minimum width of staircase as 3ft, the space in between the flights can be reduced. If possible shift the pooja room toward the partition wall of the kitchen and living. Make a big window for good light and ventilation in the place of the existing pooja room. In the first floor remove 1 toilet and make the bedroom big. For the other bedroom Reduce the size of the balcony and increase the size of the bedroom. Use light colors for furniture and avoid heavy furniture and dark colors. Keep wall colors and curtain colors neutral . Add more mirrors. Hello Poornima,

This is indeed the best time to chalk out the requirements and plan it on paper. You must consult an interior designer to get the layout done as per your concepts and ideas and accordingly you can ask the builder to construct.
