Perhaps a large round table might mean a rug is not at all necessary. It could be a metal tray table, or carved wood like Rebecca Mitchell Interiors illustrates. Ideas also to consider, using multiple tables can be found at http://www.houzz.com/multiple-coffee-tables. I also agree with comments above that some color is needed on the walls. You could then hang round mirrors, or an unusual curved shape like RMI shows above.

I will definitely go for a photo wall. I love photography and travel so I would want to show off a few captures ;). Though I will go gfor a look like this one and not all the items would be photographs per say..

I would advice you to go for all white and then have coloured art and accessories on the wall that you wished to have as accent wall. This way you won't be struck with one colour till your next repainting job. You will also have the liberty to change the colour pallet depending on your mood and season with just changing a few things like paintings ,cushion covers etc. involving very little cost and efforts.

if three parts of the wall is painted with the colour suggested (grazing land) can one part be a bit brighter colour (not very much bright but average) if you can suggest so.
