who installs glass balustrade like this in Farnham? I have a 3 (wooden) step drop in level from dining room to lower lounge and want an unobtrusive glass support like this. I would need someone to fit it.
We did the concept design and technical drawings for the stair, and a joiner (in Devon!!) made them. The glass is buried at least 100mm into the steps and the step support structure has to be designed to clamp the glass either mechanically or with glue. He made a template for the glass once the joinery was installed. To build what you want you would need a suitable joiner. Its such a small job it doesn't warrant a designer but if some technical design is required we could help. We've just finished a job in Farnham with Roak construction. They employed a really good joiner who is an associated company. Call Beverley at Roak Construction, Farnham business centre. Another one we did below within this linked project https://www.leesmunday.com/camlet-way-1#0
Thank you so much for your detailed response. I will follow up with the companies you mentioned in this advice; much appreciated. I should also remark on the super images on Houzz Merchants house, it looks really stunning.
Yes, the agents said it significantly raised the bar even for Salcombe. You can rent the house or the 2 bed flat, when Lockdown is over. Google it. Merchants House and The Booty.
It was a total wreck, stripped back to bare walls and ceilings without plaster. A total design project including all interiors and garden.
