The ceramic vitrified tiles should have less maintenance. Granite, depending on which you choose, often has to be sealed. Not all granite, but several different varieties require sealing. The sealing should occur every year or so. The vitrified tiles should require very little maintenance other than mopping and the occasional deep cleaning of the grout (when ever it starts to bother you, you do a deeper clean). Some grouts do not require sealants, others do. I would say the granite has the higher maintenance costs on a year to year basis. Of course, granite can be refinished (stone mason comes out and regrinds and then reseals the floor) which ceramic tiles do not have this option. Not many people choose to have their stone floors refinished (can be expensive and very messy) but it granite does give you the option.

granite is not as strong as marble. as for flooring marble or any fancy tiles I would recommend. granite is little fragile amongst the stones, so not appropriate for flooring. well for window frames n door panels and table tops granite works really well.

antislip and easy maintainance tiles for exterior is the key. choose any shade, colour, size. must not have deep textures as that's gonna be tough later in use. do consider slope and drainage appropriately as terrace may lead to water proofing issues in future. make sure skirting is everywhere and corners with top part of the balcony wall is tiled properly. thanks shradha shah beescheese design

If going for traditional and rustic finishes, athangudi tiles would really help for outdoor and indoors as well.
