It's hard to tell at this stage, but it does look a bit clumsy because the lofts on the left and the front are not at equal levels. It is creating a hollow above the top level which will be hard to access and clean

yes and ideally don't have any contrasting colours in the loft area. the yellow along with grey is too distracting at that level

Sushbi, Bright yellow is usually used as a pop up color in a mild grey background. Here equal prominence is given to both the colors and that's confuses the viewer.Black profile handles add to the confusion.

For a 4 inch pipe why do we need such a large dummy box.What color is the bottom cabinet would be interesting to see.

You may have to be very cautious while selecting the wall tiles now.

We did a greyish and yellow kitchen recently, see if you like it. We would need a better angle photo .

Cornerstone is right. Equal weightage to two strong colours is a no-no. Are those black accents profile handles? I couldn't tell. yes, those are also an overkill.

My method of covering the exhaust pipe would be a plywood box treated (as in painted) to look like the wall. instead of this heavy look. so if you were to let the box touch the ceiling, it's even easier to camouflage with wall paint.

white goes better with bright yellow. beige would look even duller next to yellow.

another option may be a lighter shade of grey

too many elements in the loft. yellow, charcoal, black. left to me, I would make the entire loft white. since it's above 7'-0" and above eye level, white 'disappears' visually.
