Need a plan for new house east facing south east corner

Need a plan for new house east facing south east corner plot 74x43=3182sqf plot size. South East corner plot is OK with vastu or not. Need Morden design with vastu also.

Hi Prashant,

South-east corner plots are actually not good for residential purpose. It is very good for commercial purposes. But, if the house is built as per Vsstu Shastra, it can reduce the bad effects.

1. The South-East corner has to be built with a separate building like a shop, garage, small temple, E.B meter room, boiler room, separate toilet…etc.

2. Trees like Coconut tree, Neem tree, etc., can be planted in the south-east corner of the plot.

3. The kitchen must be in the south-east corner.

There are many more remedies.

Ground Floor :

Few columns are too close to each other which is not required.

As per Vastu, kitchen should be in south-east corner as this plot needs to follow Vastu strictly.

A separate garage/security room need to be added to this plan.

A portico will form in the north east corner as per the first floor plan which is strictly prohibited as per Vastu in south east corner plots.

The planning is OK as per me, but your south east corner plot requires a lot of Vastu considerations.

First Floor :

If the toilet which in the north can be shifted anywhere else better go for it. In the long run, toilets can have seepage issues, which can spoil your living room roof. Generally, we prefer toilets over toilets and kitchen over kitchen. The basic reason for this is plumbing issues/to minimize the wastage of pipes.

The kitchen sink should go towards the corner next to the stove area since the plumbing would be easier due to the bathroom pipeline on that wall. The stove should be moved from there to the basin area but more central. I couldn't zoom in but what is loft above. Anyway, I think you could get rid of that wall and make it a half wall, and include a counter with 2 -3 bar chairs like for quick meals. Puja area, I think would be better elsewhere since there is non-veg food and sometimes alcohol consumption. You could have more like a partition shelf wall between dining and living, need to think more on moving the puja area somewhere else. Also, since the common bathroom is right there, you would not need another basin next to the dining area, its just not a good sight . You could mail me the floor plan and we could work on it more elaborately, but this is simply a skimmed review of the layout. Hope I was helpful .

Hi Sagar, The person who has designed this house has only considered Vastu in mind, but when you are designing a space it should be functional enough. You should be convenient in using that space in long run. As mentioned above, kitchen and dining should be adjacent to each other for conveniency. There is no common toilet on the ground floor for guest uses. Puja room should be somewhere in the interior of the house, it should not be at the entry. You can go for a Puja room on the first floor as well, since it's for family uses. This plan needs a lot of changes, better go for a professional help. Regards Prity

In ground floor 1 master bedroom, one guest room, in first floor 2 bedroom and 1 study room. Rest as per vastu

Hi Prashant,

Considering South-East direction, east is considered best as per vastu. After east facing south facing plots are considered good for promoting owner's wealth and financial matters.

So I believe it is absolutely okay.

Hi Prashant,

East facing house is really good as per vastu, as entering of rising sunrays is very auspicious. For a south east corner plot, you can always go for east facing main entrance. Please let me know if you need any professional help.

Hi Prashant,

Generally we provide the main entrance facing the road side. So, first you have to clarify that which side is your main road. While planning, there are lots of things which need to be considered in mind specially when you are considering Vastu like the directions of the plot, which side the road facing, what is the road width, your requirements e.g. how many rooms do you want, the no of floors, how many people are going to live there etc. If you already had a plan which needs some rectification, we would have definitely suggested you the changes in it. I suggest you to better hire a professional. A professional will not only help in planning the space but also in construction as well. You can hire someone from nearby.
