While Corten weathers naturally outside, it needs to be pre-weathered ("rusted") for interior applications (unless you happen to have terrible roof leaks...)
The wall you ask about is the side of the fireplace and is constructed of custom made copper panels with a patina finish applied to the copper in advance of the installation. This home won several AIA awards. Also, the door you see in the picture is a custom made pivoting door constructed of steel framing, custom made door latch/lock, and clad with copper water pipe using the same patina finish application. Steele Specialties of Austin TX did all our copper work. Give Jeff a call if you have any further questions. He is one of the best in his field.
Thanks for the question and positive feedback.

The wall is copper cladded. The copper has a patina finish applied to make it look aged and weathered. Jeff Steele with Steele Specialties, in Austin TX was/is the guy who does all our specialty metal work. He's done multiple AIA award winning stuff. He's incredible. The attached picture shows something he did on another of our projects with copper roof and exteriors.
