So you only have that one tiny window? Im not good with decorating but i believe you should get a bigger rug,remove the three pieces hanging on the wall behind the sectional they're too small ,and so are the ones by the dining area.i read in other discussions that art should be hung 6" above couch.look for a big piece of art to hang obove the sectional,are you gonna have a tv in this room?if you are may be you could move your couch to have it perpendicular to how it is now?that way a part of it will be on the wall where the shisha is and the other part will be floating in the room facing the wall with the three little frames where you could eventually place a tv .am i making any sense?one more thing move the dining set away from the wall and window a little bit ...i don't know i just commented to boost this dilemna up for someone to comment im curious about what anyone has to say

Love the armless sofa-bench! Try using it in the center as a "cross-linking" piece between the sofa and chairs. That way people can sit on both sides of it, conversing with the sofa people and the chair people. Put the chairs where it is and use the side table from the left of the pic, or the one with flowers, between them. You'll need one huge rug to anchor the space or two smaller, and very similar ones, to put on either side of the blue sofa-bench. The other two side tables are too tall and too short for your seating pieces, so ditch them. Use your coffee table between the sofa and armless sofa (18" away from each of them.) Here's a chart for judging table and lamp heights as you'll need to work on that for balance. Please try this arrangement, and post by commenting and using the Attach Images button to add pix of the update. We'll tweak it on out from there.

Thanks Cornerstone. I was actually looking forward for your response as you guys are quite regular on the discussions. Coming back, the kitchen adjoining the open to sky area is actually being used as a storeroom. For your reply 1) As I mentioned the existing drawing room serves dual purpose of living and drawing which becomes very messy and nigh impossible to keep clean for suprise visitors. also coz of the open area , the rooms are prone to mosquitoes and flies. Coming back to my question I would like to know budget friendly solution for covering the open area. ( I did consider opting for a skylight but the cost was off the charts) 2) Wardrobe and door Now that the drawing will be freed up, I don't see any use of the wardrobe in the new plan. I don't have any clarity of ideas for the rear dining area as to how deal with the very dark wardrobe( which I'm open to remodel it for another purpose) and the door that leads to the open area. 4) Thanks for the advise on the L shape sofa but my concern remains on the no. of seats would not be sufficient. Also would the L shape look better on the long wall or the wall with the passage door. 6) One more thing that bothers me is the yellow check pattern on the floor. How do I make the furniture, in terms of Color, complement the floor. Thanks again for your reply. Cheers

Also please replace the heavy maroon drapes with a lighter treatment. Maroon against parrot green is a really bad combination for interiors. Now that I am looking at it on my system, I confirmed that you also seem to have one pink wall.. If you are partial to strong colours, paint one wall a medium cobalt or jade green if you must, but leave the rest of the room off-white. However, I get the feeling from the photograph that there isn't enough natural light in the room. so it may be preferable to go with mushroom or sand on one wall and leave the rest of the walls off-white. And by that I mean a plain base white with just a touch of ochre stainer or turkey umber which still makes it look white, but warmer.
