nben1, Hi, I would open a 42" to 45" opening on both ends of the wall between living and study. That would leave room for a TV with components in a unit below. A desk would be nice in the back left corner of the study, with art or photo above, a chair in the back right corner and a chaise or small sofa on the wall behind the tv. That would make everything look roomier and make the study more inviting. In the living an L shaped seating would be nice floating with a small console behind. Good luck!

The toilet flush in our house gets again and again repair and water does not comes. when asked plumber,he said that when overhead water tank becomes empty without water in it, the flush will be blocked with air and so water does not come in it.(the same we are facing with water heater/geyser). as we go out of station frequently, the overhead water tank will get empty. Is there any suggestion or idea so that water in overhead water tank does not empty so that it is filled with water all the time AND/OR Is there any suggestion or idea so that flush works all the time though it has air block AND/OR which one is the best flush available in Indian market for the above problems? please name the company and the model of it? waiting for your early reply thank you

Seems weird not to incorporate it into the design -- I'm all about having things "look intentional" rather than working around them later. Like could the island have connected to this, rather than extending past it? or been L-shaped, so there's room for an extra stool, and also a wall cabinet? Anyway, hard to discuss that in the abstract without kitchen plans. I'm with miacometlady's original advice to not worry about it right now, and decide how to deal with it once the bulk of your kitchen is in place. You might find that you hardly notice it, with all the beautiful new finishes, or it might seem obvious to put some stainless or glass shelves there, or maybe simple is best and one simple hanging picture does the job. Don't stress about it until After. :)

loft will be 5 deep and 3 feet from the ceiling it will have a water tank and I can keep other stuff.
