Using fixed instead of operating will be a cost savings if you don't need to open them. Another option for hanging from the ceiling is a decorative light or chandelier. Rahul, You were advised in good faith about 24 inches door. Because of the bigger size the weight of the door increases and chances of it tilting towards far end of it increases . Wood has a tendency to warp a bit in a bigger door the effect is more visible, You may also need to support them with stronger hardware. And don't forget that bigger doors need bigger space in the room. Make sure you have sufficient space to open them. These are few suggestions that would help you achieve your goal . 1- Preferably use cut hinges made in brass otherwise increase the number of hinges by a pair to ensure load is taken care of. 2- You can reduce the height of doors by using external drawers in the plan 3- Coming to the shutters, go for atleast a genuine Century Winstar or Green Gold board for the shutters.This is a must. No compromises and no alternatives are recommended here. Don't use a ply for the shutter. Keep the shutters always closed and locked and use magnets to hold them in place. 4- Both sides of the shutter must be laminated properly in one go. You should be good if these are taken care of. where do u stay... if ur really interested in changing ur kitchen in a spacious manner.. pls consult us for the same.. i will make more use of space with necessary electronics gadgets to be placed along with other necessary food items... Because whatever is the square feet we get in kitchen.. the fridge space and the sink space is dead to use, sink below space will be used for storing dustbin and fennel bottles,etc to store.. etc.. and if u dont have space for washing machine then that also will be used in kitchen if there is no space anywhere.. so basically make a list of ur requirement for anyone to work on it, so that they will give their best ideas on it..

Hence, it is necessary to determine their not only their size but also their location in a room. Deciding the lintel and sill level of the windows may depend on the overall look of the building or a home as they alter the elevation to a great extent. A standard 3' sill and 7' lintel gives you a 4' height to work with. You may then increase or decrease its width to your requirement. Anything between 4'-6' is a good window width. If possible you may decrease the sill level to 2' to increase the window size where you want. Avoid doing this where the bed would be as its headboard will cover a large part of the window. Alternatively you may go for french windows/doors for living rooms. As far as the design of the window is concerned, it largely depends on the functionality. Accordingly, the windows may be side hung, sliding, louvered, top hung, fixed etc. These days mostly we go for sliding or side hung ones. How they look will depend a lot on their mechanism. However, their style may be changed as per the aesthetics of the room and overall building elevation. Here are some examples - These go well with classic, colonial and Indian styles.
