Comments (11)I do like the design. Quite a lot. It's modern and sophisticated. I really like the subtle detail of the base top being inset to create a reveal right under the sunmica top. I assume the width and length of the sunmica top is exactly the same as the base, it seems that way from the drawing. I like that too, it makes the reveal more purposeful. The short sides are best left plain as i think you planned. You don't show the short side so I'll assume the base connects at the top and bottom, and the field open. I like the antique polished gold for the base. I like it in concept, I don't know the room it will go in. You're very on track, so I'm sure that is the right finish for your space. For the top carving, again I like the deep brown polish. I think it adds more to the piece by having another finish. I'm curious about the overall height. What is it? Also, the table is large. Not huge, but large. I don't think you need to make it smaller, I just want to bring this to your attention so you make sure it will fit in your space properly. Finally, the mirror. Are you using a plain mirror? Smoked glass mirror or a mirror with a slight antiquing would be great....See More"need to design space under the staircase"
Comments (52)A houzz contributor, not too long ago, had made a wine rack out of 4'x4' wooden pallets, that are used in the US to move a load of goods with a fork-lift truck. Perhaps they have them in your country. He cut them in half so they were only two feet deep and stacked them up to high counter height. The wood would be a nice contrast with your concrete, might add a little warmth to the space. cascio.offsite@gmail.com...See MoreIdeas for the wall
Comments (43)This Cabinet is $155 at Ikea. You could take the 4 items you had hung, and put them in a "shadow box", or individual deep frames to tie then together, to create I piece that looks more substantial on the wall, Then add a little ledge for photos, and you would even have room on the cabinet for the cool bottles that were on the floor, and that cool chest could definitely find a home as an end table, or entry table. You could also add a larger plant in a really nice pot in turquoise. The cut and paste renditions arent always completely accurate in scale....See Morei need help for my formal living and unformal living and dinning
Comments (300)I think a comfortable distance between the island and the counter is around 42". It seems that you have only 30" between your cook top and the counter. I might be a little too tight. The wall between the entrance and the kitchen could be 4' long instead of 6', you would then be able to move the island a foot which would give you more room between the cook top and the island. Could you switch the location of the toilet and vanity in your dad's bathroom so your enter facing a vanity instead of a toilet which is a lot nicer....See MoreUser
