Hi senba, Great suggestions above! Yes, use the wallpaper background... but keep it really,really light blue. It will keep the room homogenous and will retain the softness of your paper. I gave a pics of my house walls pse gave me suggestions which colour paint best house wall outer and inside the living room.

We are located in the Pacific Northwest and want to update our office and shop. Inside our walls are tan with tan tile and the horrendous golden oak doors and trim.

When the sunlight doesn't touch the wall surface, white tends to look grey and dull. Window Walls tend to have this problem especially if none of the adjacent walls have windows. One trick to liven up the window wall is to paint it in a rich, warm yellow tone. As shown in the attached picture. But don't paint any other wall in the room in this colour, as it will be overwhelming.
