Kitchen: matching counters or contrast?
Comments (2)I don't think you can go wrong either way. I have white flat front cabinets with white counter and marble backsplash and I think it would look equally as good with a grey counter. Actually the one good thing about using grey over white is that you don't have to worry that the whites will be off in tone (my counter is warmer than my cabinets - not so much that it bothers me, but I can tell)....See MoreHow to do backsplash? Comments (19)acc to ur kitchen cabinet pic, I would request u to get stone ( kadapa ) vertical base frame and on top before granite fitting and then wooden panel can be done for drawers n shelves. this will eliminate wood to get wet and start to fall apart. looking forward to modular version need to know it last few years only. wherever water is concerned only wooden panels won't work for longer n steady use. for counter tables or side working space that will work but not where the sink will be placed....See MoreBathroom wainscoting and window height
Comments (2)Thank you so much for your response - and the encouragement. What I can do is buy a beadboard panel tall enough for an entire wall and have HD cut this down. I may find this to be a good deal less expensive anyway, though kits are cheap. Quality, I'm not so sure about. I'll just get the best I can. When I look at the sites that truly specialize in good-quality beadboard, thiers are also thin cladding and 32 inches high, so customizing is the way I'll need to go. The kits offer moldings that are exact fits, and this is attractive to me because I'll be asking for help with this from contractor who I think anticipates doing dry wall. It's a gift job, so want to make it very easy. I think the panels and moldings cut to size though will not be a problem. I'll get all supplies and corner mold, etc. I wonder now about back splash above marble vanity sink. How do y"all do it in your business if wainscot extends a little above the sink....See More- 7 years ago
