HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)

Create a border along with the window frame using plaster or some other thing to levitate as shown in purple colour then colour two different areas with two different colours main entrance colour should be more bright and welcoming and consider developing stairs from ground to plinth all along the the wall as shown by brown colour This would divide the things in ration and will remove the awkwardness this is the cheapest way . rest you can spend as much as you can . . . I dont think u can use this golden laminate sheet on gypsum ceiling , i m not a expert though. In the ceiling of one of the room i have used mdf sheet and used the same golden laminate to highlight the border.

Thanks @dream design and @cornerstone. this is my living cum dining room..floor plan is attached below i am having a brown tinted mirror wall on the longer side of the dinning area. 1) which color shade to choose for giving it a rich sophisticated look which will go well with the mirror. I have shortlisted Sonnet as advised in previous comment. What about Morning Glory and Pure Ivory. 2) color shade from Asian paints for ceiling 3 ) also will it be a good idea to paint tv unit wall and/or small wall on the dining side with a grey shade or a different colour ( you suggest) 3) I am attaching the picture of work which is going on.
