Need more information...........what is the height variation or fall from the elevation at the top of the stair and where the run would end at the lower landing? What is the length of the run in a horizontal measurement? These are all factors in the code compliant design of the stairs.......not just the width.

@ MB Builders, Yes please attach a floorplan. I would be happy to help you design a curved stair. Five feet width does not allow for very much of a curve. 3' is the absolute minimum on stair width - on your curved it may need to be wider to allow for a walkline to fit code as well. This reminds me of my kitchen in Hyderbad, India. As others said, go with open shelves. Both wood (contrast) and stainless (brightness) would work well for upper shelves. I would also do shelves in the lower cabinets. If you want to minimize cleaning, add heavy, easily washable curtains to the lower shelves. You can add some battery operated lighting so you can see into those darker spaces. As for the walls, I would use a white subway tile and go as high on the wall as you can afford. The glaze will reflect more light and the surface will be relatively able to keep clean. Paint the other walls in a high-quality white paint (use a ceramic one if you can find it, as they are a lot more durable). Keep the appliances to a minimum. Kitchen gadgets might be handy, but lost of them will make the space seem small. For the ones you do buy, go with white or stainless steel. Finally, hang pots, pans and utensils on the walls to free shelf space and get them off the counter. Make sure what you use frequently is within easy reach, while "occasional" tools can be higher up, where you might need a stool to reach them.

see according to your discription about the room u should place the wardrobe on the right corner close to the bathroom as it must will be lot more easier for u to access the cupboard beside going to the other end of the room and a large l shaped table with over head storage and underneath the table so that u can store more of the stuff with minimum usage of the area and the reason behind this long ribbon like table all over the area is to provide max. space for ur work area as well as study like u can study or work in front of that window so that u can get the natural light in the day and the left corner can be used for operating your pc ......i hope u can understand my logic something like this kind of storage above that study table to keep things more organized ......and u can even use mirror panels for your cupboard that will give you full length mirror coverage
