There is a specialty lighting store near me that I am going to soon with photos to work on lighting at my house. I will show them your photo and see if they have an idea. Probably won't be till Fri or Sat but will get back to you.

HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)

Vinod, Bedrooms are a relaxing place, where you should have as less distractions as possible. Having a big mirror facing you could keep you engaged before sleeping and may thus cause a little late sleeping. However, we don't throw out the mobile for the same reason ..do we ;) While you are not in a deep sleep and if you suddenly get up (your senses are only half awake) first thing you see is a reflection of yourself and that too in a dishevelled condition it may startle, shock or even scare you depending on the lighting condition. Ravi, Are you planning just a small room or would you have a pooja cabinet as well in the room. You may need more space for a seated pooja arrangement and often you have multiple people while pooja.
