You want to hide wiring? Is it in conduit or armored cable? Exposed wiring is illegal in the US...sounds like you are in another country? So if getting the wires behind the wall can't happen, putting it in extruded metal tubing (EMT or conduit) is a safer option. Then embrace the necessity and go for a hi-tech/industrial look. Reclaimed and re-imagined furnishings and parts from factories and workshops to play up the look. Search "industrial" under the "browse rooms" tab in the Houzz header. Regarding hiding switches...hiding them is not so great...you kind of want them accessible when stumbling about in the dark! The EMT electrical system has metal boxes for mounting switches, outlets and light fixtures. And metal cover plates too.

Most important thing before you do anything, is you need to know lot restrictions in that area and what are the zoning requirements, i.e. side, rear,front, set-backs. In addition the size of your house will also depend on the total percentage of a lot that can be covered by impervious surfaces (structures, decks, and surfaces likes asphalt or concrete driveways etc, which reduce natural infiltration, etc and after you obtain that information, only then you can contact a local Architect and you can roughly come up with the size of your house and layout on the lot... until that, the information you get here it will be useless to you in your case and a waste of time for everyone else. With that said, 40x104 is not a confirming lot for most of the area around here and you will need variances because confirming lot sizes usually start at 50x100, unless you in a section where ordinances permit residential cluster development. Are you sure that is not meant to be meters.My house is twice this size . As for designing your own house that is really done often but always with some input from an architect to make sure what youwant is doable

Hello Sandeep, you must make a list of your requirements and the missing facilities ( if any) of your present home. Other few provisions which you should take care of are- 1) Provision for the washing area for the kitchen as well as for the clothes etc., 2)The powder room and the cupboard should be in one level so that you get straight wall in the living room.
