Suggestions For my Dream house
Comments (14)Hi Satya, Guessing the work is almost complete, and you cannot make any changes to the architectural plans. In that case, a good design will save you from many challenges. For example in the dining room, which is your main area of concern, place a smaller 6 seater with two seats at the end of the table , or use materials like glass top with a slim wooden base and use light chairs . A neutral light colour will enhance the lighting and make the room visually larger, specially since you have a large window. Also think of using bench seating on the side which is narrower . If the structure is not complete, think of pushing out the bay window to the outer wall and enhancing the space inside for a larger dining room . A balcony might need not be as necessary as a good dining area which is not claustrophobic. Thanks, Smitha...See Morewant to renovate my house

Comments (12)Hello there, Absolutely no problems with language. I got that. You could shift the dining table adjacent to Kitchen and use the rest of the place as Living area. Also, you could cover the under-stair area into a TV/entertainment unit with storage cum bookshelf. Since it is a large area, some niches for decor could be planned too. Comments (7)Many thanks for your valuable comments. 1. My intention of raised cabinets was to clean it daily, as cabinets that touch floor accumulate lot of dust and food particles below. If we rule out steel legs, any inputs on raised floor only of cabinet area and then cabinets?(Just like plinth in modular cabinets- but this will be permanent and of tiles) I have not seen such structure anywhere, so curious if it will work. Otherwise I will go with traditional ones. 2. Moving pooja out of kitchen is very difficult as other rooms are just enough for their function. Currently a small Mandir is attached on wall where Fridge is shown in layout. I thought the new area could be little extra for all pooja related things. Will like to know the reason of your recommendation, is it odd in whole design, or not suitable in area .. or anything else? How about moving it to corner of dining area?...See Morerwalton5
