Green is the best color. If you don't want to go with that, go to a paint website and go through colors and see what you like.

Your drapes look like they're fine. It's hard to see if they're long enough--do they just touch the floor? That would be the right length. Make sure the paint you pick blends with the color of the drapes and the two chairs. The Edgecomb Gray looks like it would work or you could go with an entirely different color and add pictures and rug to pull it all together. Love the color Sea Salt by SW.

Option 4. I would not have more than 2 different cabinet finishes. Darker, grounded look for the base and island, with lighter, airier look for the uppers would balance the room.

if you are planning for duco/pu paints or membrane finishes, you should use external grade MDF. This will give a better finish. Tandem/innotech drawers are anytime better than steel wire baskets if you are going for drawers more than 2ft wide. Wire baskets will sagg over a period of time. Tandem/Innotech comes with soft close as default.
