I would leave the FP white and go a light neutral graige on the walls.

I would keep the walls a warm off-white....SW Kilim Beige? Why does the door have stained trim while the rest of the trim appears to be white?

You need lamps....turn off any overhead lighting....very unflattering to people and furnishings. Remove the blinds and get grommet top panels to soften the look.

I think the room would feel more balanced if you put a light colored rug under the couch and found some medium to dark wood pieces for the mantel to draw your eye up.

Your drapes look like they're fine. It's hard to see if they're long enough--do they just touch the floor? That would be the right length. Make sure the paint you pick blends with the color of the drapes and the two chairs. The Edgecomb Gray looks like it would work or you could go with an entirely different color and add pictures and rug to pull it all together. Love the color Sea Salt by SW.

As far as paint colors, I think a pale blue or very light green would look good with the brown and white you already have in the room; or you could do those colors in curtains and not paint the walls if you prefer.
