Also I am allowed to construct roughly around 1800 to 1900 sqft. The plot entry is from the width(10sqmtr) side, so some more restriction. I am from Mumbai (India ) , the climate here is kind of extreme.Though the coolest can go max to 10 degree Celsius and the hottest can go max 45 degree Celsius. This will be my dream place where I would like to call in friends and family, though there is no pool , I would like to have a plunge pool kind of at the rooftop.A small sitting lounge to entertain guest. Sine it a small size , I am limited to doing all this stuff mostly at the roof top. Please advice.Thank you

Usually when you get side panels you automatically have space on the sides. If you have a full depth cabinet on the top, you automatically have space at the top and in most cases you will have leave at least 1 inch of extra room for the back of the refrigerator, so there is always air circulation since everything is enclosed. In the 70's they use to make a small recessed space behind like Fred said, today you don't have to do that, most Ref have flat backs, recessed wiring, not to mention the supply for ice-maker also comes in a flush mounting kits for the wall... so pretty much everything is recessed and only space you need is for air circulation and 1" is more then enough. In addition, if you make recessed area now and you push ref to far you will never get your doors open so doing all that is a waste of time, in addition most manufacturers starting to make 30" side panels.

Hi Krupa, Standard size is 2 feet, bigger the better. Seeing at your layout i would suggest you to have a L-shape counter instead of having it both side. That would be more functional and efficient.

Hello Indu, You cannot utilize the space. As per our calculation, the depth is 3' and the length is 4' and as i can see this is still under construction. Please send the layout and if you are ready for some structural changes, we can suggest the same. Or in this situation you can have one 3' x 2' wardrobe at the end of the block . this way you get 2' of moving space. Design the wardrobe with sliding shutters and utilize the vertical space.
