Hi Maam/Sir, I would recommend you to share a better perspective pic of your room where the ceiling is also visible because if a room does not have enough of natural lighting then some artificial effect like a false ceiling treatment would really give a great boost to the look and feel of your space. I would also suggest you to follow a concept like i can see there are a lot of varied colorscheme happening in your room so changing a curtain will not be much help. You should find the right patterns maybe like adding some pastels or i can see that some red or maroon color is involved in your room so try to match the lighter version of these elements. Hi. Nice to see good old wooden window shutters which means you dont need curtains and they pretty much are the main feature in the room. So you should keep them free from clutter. The wardrobe wall needs a custom full size wardrobe in white to store all that stuff. Something like this The queen size bed is too big for the room. Do think if you would prefer a single bed and study table instead. example And it looks like you seldom use the window behind the bed. In that case it would be better to use roman blind or hang a carpet over a rail

Hi Designer Spaces, Actually its really common now a days in schools and offices to convert walls into writeable surfaces. All you need to do is apply a coat of idea paint on the wall. It will work just as a marker board. You can even choose clear paint so that wall's original color will still look the same and it will be writeable. Another option is to use chalk board paint or chalk board sticker, if you prefer using chalk over marker. Personally I prefer idea paint as you don't have to bear with chalk dust in it and it looks good too. Attaching an image of idea paint for your reference. Happy Decorating!!!
