Hi Emran, What a great size room you have. You need to create two sitting areas within the space, and pull them into the room (get them off the wall), also I can see from the fantastic chandelier that you have, that the dining table must stay where it is. I would recommend you go with 3 large area rugs, at least 10x12 looking at the size of your room. I would use traditional rugs with different patterns, yet similar colours so that they all work together. Visit alexanian.com for many rug ideas. They ship throughout Canada and US. Yes, I also think that the mirror is too high but I had an artwork earlier there which I removed recently. The entire thing is not centered above the sofa because it is below a light fixture which is at the centre of both (thanks to the builder). I think Christinero is right (her room is fabulous) and I could add another starburst mirror. It's just that I have to sit and make it as the other two are DIY.

It looks like it will work as long as the mirror is attached to the wall......
