The counter was purchased directly by the owner. I'm not even sure that is the specification.

We used Taj Mahal in our kitchen remodel and I'm pretty sure it was our best decision.

In the last 3.5 years, it hasn't etched or stained. It's still perfect.

The cost is indeed pricey. We remember it at slightly over $100/ sq ft (although our total area required two slabs, so if you can keep it to 1 slab, maybe your cost/ft might go down.
