Hi....am looking for ideas for front doors as well as interior doors. This is for a residential site ...the frames are made of teak with natural finish...so am looking for a design which would look good with contemporary interiors. Am also adding features of few works that I get done from Indian artisans...am attaching an image for you to take a look. This is a handcut paper pattern sandwiched between toughened glass...which is at the entrance... Then I have proposed a stone carved installation at the stairway wall approximately 7' x 7'...if you would like i could attach rendered floor plans of the suggested flooring...Please do let me know and i shall do the needful..... many thanks

Hi pankaj. Some lovely ideas above. Is that a door at the end of the passage? It strikes me, especially if you want to make the passage all white, that you might be able to give that door a special treatment to bring some drama to the end of the passage. That draws the attention to the door and away from the passage itself. You could just paint it a vivid colour. I think we tend to let our interior doors remain very plain and boring, when there is no good reason for that to be a rule. The one below would need some sort of backing for privacy, I guess, but I think to put metalwork on a door is a great idea that you could adapt in various ways. (Be aware of the dusting, though! Outside the rain will wash things clean, but not inside.) I like the first one on that site. It's simple and geometric, and could very easily be adapted without hurting the budget.

How do you decorate your place, what kind of style, colors, and feelings? That will greatly influence the type of door you might want. Also, think of your budget, and whether you want to install it yourself or hire a professional (you don't need to tell us, just keep that in mind). Then look around Houzz, in the products page, they have lots of interior sliding doors and hinged ones, from elegant frosted glass in a dark wood frame, to rustic reclaimed wood planks. You may not want to purchase that exact model, but it might give you a better idea of what would fulfill your airflow needs without sacrificing style.
