Hi Simran, I totally agree with you. The string lights are beautiful but do not last long. You can use lanterns instead, they look equally stunning. Try getting some in geometric shapes or paper lanterns. If you're still hooked up to the typical string lights, you may go ahead with battery powered LED string lights. Thanks all, for the suggestion. Yes will stick to white for all other sides of the room. one is full glass with curtains, the other is behind the sofa, a plain wall as of now with no art or anything, this is just opposite to the brick wall. The 4th side is the foyer and a small wall with a artsy clock. The living area is more an open plan, that leads to dining on one side. I am looking for wall art ideas too. I create my own art for the home, I have not gone commercial, just do some art for friends too when they ask as gifts :-). We are changing all the furniture in this room, including the softa. have ordered recliners in light brown color, A square center table with stools underneath, and a side small curio/book shelf. Hi Nithin, Thank you for your reply. installing the POP curling would mean I will loose the existing shape yeah? little worried that I would loose height in the room. The structure used to be a window which I broke down to make way to a balcony. In a few days the structure will be replaced with sliding glass doors. Any recommendations on color as well? thanks again.

Hi, Consider this: Color of lights depends on the substantial area for which it is going to be used. For residential we normally go for same color light; especially warm light. An exception can be made for landscaping, even there it's limited. Different colored lights are used in clubs, pubs, concerts, majorly places that provide entertainment. Lights are not only for visibility purpose, choosing right color light provides visibility as well as calm to our eyes. Shapes as in; you can have LED lights as well as decorative lights.
