After spending several years abroad I can share my observations. Most homes with snow fall use spanish or a slight curve. This is in an area that has: high winds, 2-4 ft snow intermittent years, and rain every third day. For snow and ice, some (but not many) have custom log braces about 4 foot from the gutter line. To be honest, falling snow and ice is part of living in colder climates. I would ask this company to get you in touch with their clients who own "the system" they are advocating. This way, you'll know what to expect from the product. If the shields help melt snow and ice, perhaps this is a good thing. All I would add to that is your offload gutter system and spouts are placed properly to avoid splashing against the home. I'll post a link if I find one that shows you what I am talking about in Europe.

Will speak to the archi. to check if the bars can be reduced in numbers.One suggestion from his end was to cover these bars by using cement fibre sheets that have the look n feel of wooden texture but I am not sure of the end result.Any other material that can be used to enhance the look?

Hello Nitin, There is not great all pre-fabricated stair I can recommend. The best thing is to find a stair builder that can make something to fit your needs. We do high end interior and some exterior work. We make our stairs in Seattle, and can then ship them anywhere. Thanks Patricia and cpaul! I hadn't thought about glass. And I guess I should specify that a fully modular kitchen would not withstand the climate lol. The doors and Windows in General are traditionally made of teak wood and do warp somewhat but it's not a huge issue, so I fiured if all I am dealing with in the kitchen is the cabinet door it shouldn't be too hard to maintain. I actually ended up finding a blog about someone living in the tropical Philippine weather and how they covered their concrete counter with cabinets. This was their starting and final result. there are more photos in the blog. They basically recommended some prefabricated cabinets and strong hinges and screws for the wood frame.
