Go big, go bold, go arty - inject some wonderful colour and proportion and make that blank wall to the right of the TV THE focal point of the room. You can then take some of the colour cues from the artwork and translate them into cushions and soft furnishings. This will tie your room together and look like everything was planned and designed that way from the very beginning.

One of my favourite ways to start the soft furnishings and accessories stories of a room is to start from a feature artwork. Curating art is one of the joys of what we do and finding the right piece that speaks to you and brings a smile to your face every time you walk past it is one of the most enjoyable parts of the journey.

Hi Daniel, I'd be tempted to paint the wall a dark charcoal (almost black) - to increase the drama of the room and recede the black in your kitchen (remembering that the human eye can see thousands of varying shades of "black"), I'd also add a tallish plant to balance the wall - the TV is offset so you need something to balance it.

Hi Daniel, a large fiddle leaf fig tree would be perfect for this space. You could also look at moving the lounge on the right to under the window so the seating area is opened up.

Definitely a plant- This indoor plant fills our corner next to the tv. It can handle low light and air con and is called a Maranta prayer plant and i haven't killed it yet.

Oh love the idea of tying in with copper!

Hey It's Janni here, Bluethumb's Curator. I think a nice piece of art would look good. Artwork brings a different level of conversation to a room. Perhaps portrait in orientation and with warm earthy tones, orange in particular because your couch is blue ( orange compliments blue ;) )
