Perhaps a large round table might mean a rug is not at all necessary. It could be a metal tray table, or carved wood like Rebecca Mitchell Interiors illustrates. Ideas also to consider, using multiple tables can be found at http://www.houzz.com/multiple-coffee-tables. I also agree with comments above that some color is needed on the walls. You could then hang round mirrors, or an unusual curved shape like RMI shows above.

Vijay, 1243 as a base with couple of stripes 8754 should look good here. Just a couple of feedback based on the pics. The headboard should be wider it should touch your lower back while sitting on the mattress. Are we not planning for a fan , don't see a provision. The False ceiling is not in water level it is arched in centre , please recheck. Also recheck if the loft door touches the false ceiling, from the image angle it looks like a close call. living/dining/kitchen it's an open layout like in one of the images. the ceiling is uneven so we are planning to get it fixed with re-plastering. I might not be able to get a skilled painter in my budget to get the textures right, so I thought by just applying a coat of cement I wouldn't need a very skilled worker and also get the industrial look.

The reference image wall color looks like Song of Nature 8401 or Pineview 8400 from Asian. Combine this with Nickel Grey 6126 and you should be good to go. Just paint the recess in accent color and the rest in grey. For getting the sense of color in the actual setup, we suggest you get a big swatch done and look at it in daylight and then in the evening with the warm lights on. The look will change substantially in both cases. You will be able to decide better.
