I'm not against colorful homes. There's bright, and then there's too bright. I wouldn't go with persimmon for the whole house. The photo you provided has lots of white trim which offsets the orange, but your house doesn't have that much trim (unless you were planning on adding some, which I think would look good no matter what color you ultimately choose, but even so, I wouldn't go with persimmon for the whole house, as it's still too bright). To repeat what @nwduck said, the other homes in the neighborhood don't appear to all be done in the bright colors, and so yours would stand out too too much. I like @deco's idea of the bright door, if you really love a bright color. For the rest of the house, any more subdued color would be fine, along with additional trim around the windows, and assuming that your siding color coordinates with your roofing color.

This can be a roof/siding issue. In an apparment, this can have so many causes it can be maddening to find the issue. If you own this property, contact your realestate and/or lawyer agent re: legal ramifications as to who is legally responsible for damages. You will need to contact the building manager to find out if this is a recurring problem and what, if anything, has been done about it in the past. Moisture is bad. Moisture in an appartment building is REALLY BAD. This has to be stopped before health-damaging mould occurs.

What a beautiful house, Shahbaaz! I live in a similar house - a 150-year-old colonial bungalow in Kumaon. You have already received lots of excellent advice from better-qualified people, so all I would say is, keep its age and heritage character the central theme. The white tiles do clash, I am afraid ... flooring with terracotta tiles would echo the roof and look lovely. The columns and the arches over the doors and windows are amazing. But I'd say, leave it all chuna-painted - there's a beauty and softness to it. Don't let the painters add too much neel (indigo) in the limewash -- in the hills where I live, they put far too much if I don't watch out and the result is a harsh white. Natural lime has a softer, creamy look.

lookup Grenfell Tower fire in London. Few months back this tower caught fire. The reason for such a tragedy was that in a bid to improve the looks of the old public housing building they clad it with PVC backed aluminum cladding. The building was otherwise designed to contain accidental fires but adding the cladding caused the flames to spread from outside the building. PVC also gives off minute amounts of hazardous gas. Using it in such large indoor surfaces exposes you to potential fire hazard as well as health hazard.
