Comments (12)I think you are talking about a vanity to put in the bedroom, not the bathroom. Is that correct? If it is correct, then I think your idea of cherry wood for the vanity is a good one. It certainly doesn't have to match exactly. In fact, we mix a lot of wood stains these days. If you're interested in a vanity for the bathroom, that's a totally different thing. I see part of the bathroom in the photos. You could have a faux artist come and paint the existing bath vanity to match your bed if you want to go in that direction. But you state that you want a modern bathroom, so maybe you have something else in mind. I've selected 4 different baths that might appeal to you. Please let me know if you like any of them, or if it's the bedroom you're more interested in. Thanks. Carolyn Albert-Kincl, ASID...See MoreNeed help with my bathroom and adjoining dress space.
Comments (9)Thanks a lot for your comment. I wouldn't exactly call it a walk in-closet. As you can see from the drawing, Its space provided for two single wardrobe (one on each side). Maximum width can be around 3.5 ft. The humidity point is quite relevant. The question is would it be possible to include a wet room in the space i.e. 6ft x 8.6ft. - considering I don't remove the dress wall. Wanted to get a sense on the possible layout. Thanks and look forward to your advise....See Moreneed help for my bathroom
Comments (7)I did a house with nine bathrooms and it was so much fun. For the master bed we had his and hers separate ensuite bathrooms, so hers was feminine and victoruan; it even had a chandelier! His was white with a red shower wall and a blue and white border tile. The counter was tiled with red. It was a very cheerful little bathroom. The daughter's batH was blue and white, the border tiles and washbasin were Chinese themed. A very pretty bathroom. The two guest bathrooms were yellow and cream with hand painted sunflower accent tiles. One powder room was yellow and white, the other was beige with orange and green accents. It had a very whimsical washbasin with a hand painted frog inside. The pool house also has two bathrooms, more basic, mostly cream with wood accents. The colour comes from the stack of towels, red, blue, orange, lime green and yellow....See MoreNeed help on selecting tiles for bathroom both for floor and walls.
Comments (5)You can use natural stone like marble for floor but do not use granite for floor at all as it is very slippery when wet. As for tiles do not go for glazed vitrified tiles for the floor for the same reason. ( floor becomes slippery once wet and may cause mishap) Go for ceramic anti skid tiles that are specially meant for bathroom floor. For wall tiles you can use whatever you like and then decide over the matching anti skid floor tile/ marble. Double charged vitrified tiles are usually used for flooring in rest of the house....See MoreNanni Lee
