Window treatments- blinds or curtains??
Comments (7)I've had pleated blinds, metal horizontal blinds, vertical blinds, and wood blinds. Even though there are pretty pictures of blinds, blinds are not my favorite, especially vertical blinds. Blinds are impersonal, not cozy imho, and pleated blinds are very difficult to clean. They attract dust and pet hair, I think, by static, and vacuuming does not get it all. Horizontal blinds, if cracked open for some light, leave a striped pattern on the window which I don't like, are a pain to dust, and are pretty much "all or nothing", and you can't leave blinds open at night if you value privacy. Vertical blinds remind me of corporate conference rooms. Sorry, I hope I'm not offending anyone. Curtains on the other hand, can be soft and flowy, let light in without compromising privacy. You can wash them or dry clean them. You don't have to open and close every single day to adjust for light/privacy conditions. Curtains are easy to change out, and you don't need a custom size if your windows are not standard sized. I haven't had the pleasure of roman shades yet, that's my next new thing to try. More than you probably wanted,mikneleh... LOL! Have fun with your decision....See MoreWindow Treatment
Comments (4)It 'might' look a bit odd. Why not have a curtain and slide it when you need day light. It will be better if you post the pics of the room....See Morekitchen layout for duplex home. need suggestions on kitchen layout ...
Comments (2)Hello, For chimney, You can do a simple agarbatti smoke test and see how the smoke moves and find the answer yourself that how will your smoke move out or in the kitchen. You can also use Exaust fan instead of chimney cause of window. For kitchen utility, You can try this.. see the reference image. In 'A' you will get more storage capacity. And in 'B' you will get a more space and basic storage capacity. You can make a breakfast counter by adding 450mm to the main platform. You can also try to move your window to the other wall. Check out this image for your reference.. For Design and Plan your Kitchen kindly contact. Thank you Jay...See MoreNeed suggestions for window colour and paint type.
Comments (1)Hi erbaldeep, There are quite a few types of paint finishes in the market. - Matte - Eggshell - Satin - Semi glossy - Highly Glossy Since the door will be polished, I assume it'll be shiny. However, If you are not a fan of highly glossy paint, then opt for the other paint finishes with a slight sheen like satin or semi glossy. This way, the door and windows will still feel cohesive. If you'd still like to discuss this further, reach out to us. Our team of the best interior designers in Chennai can easily help you out....See MoreValinta
