Need a durable comfortable ergonomic styled chair that will handle someone 6' to 6'4" and weight range of 300-400#. Most offerings will not handle someone of this size, either they do not sit well (don't fit the body and proportions) or do not hold up (busted within a month or two). The two chairs shown look quite like a decorating statement, but no way would they hold up to someone of perhaps taller than 5'10" and weighing more than 180#....

Well it depends on your wall color as well . since you have such concrete looking floor I would recommend you can chose any electic color like lemon , orange , yellow to give a bright look and uplift room mood or chose any pastle color of your choice for subtle feel . :)

Hey Lauren, Can you share images of you home so that I can get a better idea of what chairs to suggest. There are way too many types of 'modern'! We can look for 19" chairs, or fit a one inch base, which you can easily find on amazon. Edit: Can you alter the legs of your trestle table to make it look modern? They are inherently very country.
